Week 2 (Giants v. Saints) Game Ball: Johnathan Hankins

Another week, another close call for the G-Men.  Week 2 featured some big performances on the defensive side of the ball, but none bigger – literally – than @BigTimeHank himself, Johnathan Hankins.

Big Hank picked up right where he left off last week and used all of his 6’2”, 320 lbs. frame to make it a rough day for the normally free-firing Saints offense.  I’m sure Mark Ingram has been having nightmares of #95 bursting through his offensive line like a big blue Kool-Aid man busting down a brick wall – “OH YEAHHH!”

At one point, Hankins picked up a Saints runner – I believe it was Travaris Cadet – like he was a small child, one of the prettiest form tackles I have seen in some time. Also you may not have noticed due to the mass of blue that constantly surrounded the ball, but it was Big Hank’s paw that got a hold of the kick that was returned for the biggest score of the game.

Hankins is not-so-quietly working his way into the conversation as one of the game’s best defensive linemen, and is definitely reminding us Giants fans that he earned the name BIG TIME Hank.
